 Anthony Evans is a senior at Largo High School. He began coming to MOLC events in 2008, gradually participating in more activities. As Anthony matured with the organization, he volunteered to help MOLC under the direction of the Youth Development Director at the time. After about a year, he became the Youth Development Advisor to MOLC. Now Anthony is an intern, learning the world of work under the new Youth/Life Skills Program Director. He also attends almost every workshop and event we give. During one of our SAT Prep Workshops, the instructor talked to Anthony about his GPA and how his application for college will be reviewed. She talked facts and figures with him and Anthony moved into high gear. In one year, he pulled his GPA up from 2.3 to 2.9. He is now better positioned to gain admission to his college of choice and is gaining confidence in himself and his abilities. He has blossomed from being involved with MOLC and we are very proud of Anthony. |
